June 2022: Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medallion
Darren was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medallion presented by Semiahmoo Peninsula on June 30 at an afternoon tea ceremony Hazelmere Golf and Tennis Club. The medallions were presented and awarded by the local MP for South Surrey/White Rock, Kerry-Lynne Findlay (shown in the picture).
Awarded for his contribution to the community through his work with Semiahmoo Community Safety Society, this celebrates “those who make our community better, while paying tribute to the lifetime of work and commitment of the Queen.”

Darren and his wife, Holly, believe in contributing to the community on the Semiahmoo Peninsula, where they reside.
He is the President and Chair of Semiahmoo Community Safety Society (SCSS), a local non-profit organization which promotes safety and crime reduction in South Surrey/White Rock. Darren has been on the SCSS Board of Directors since January 2011 and has been President and Chair since 2013. He is also a SCSS donor.
VOLUNTEERING AT SALI
Darren is also a volunteer, donor and former Director of Semiahmoo Animal League Inc. (SALI), a local non-profit organization, whose mission is to honour, respect and protect the human/animal bond.
